Is it safe to use my credit card online?
As you complete your order through our online store, you'll be asked for your name, address and credit card number. Only Discovery Education can decode your encrypted information. Plus, this encrypted data is stored on a protected server until your order has been shipped and your credit card has been charged. What is the benefit of setting up an account?
Setting up and maintaining an account will simplify your shopping experience at Discovery Education. Just register with us once and start benefiting from our convenient account services, like a personal address book that simplifies your shipping choices, a PO builder for an easy PO process, a wishlist that you can share with others, and our order tracking program. How do I change my password?
It's simple. Just go to "My Account" in the top navigation bar. If you haven't already signed in, you'll be asked to sign in with your e-mail account and current password. (If you've forgotten your password, just click on "If you've forgotten your password, please click here", and we'll e-mail it to you right away. For more information on forgetting your password in checkout, please read below.) Click on the "Edit" button under Personal Information to update your password.

After you've signed in, you'll come to a screen that displays all of the personal information that you have saved. Type your new password into the "Create a Password" field. Confirm your new password by typing it again into the "Re-enter Password" field. You can also change your e-mail address on this page, but please note that you can't change both at the same time. Select "Submit" when you're done.

If I misplace my password, how do I retrieve it?
When completing the checkout process, you are required to enter a password to access your personal information. In the event that you forget your password, Discovery Education offers an easy-to-use retrieval process. Clicking on the Forgot your password? link will take you to our password prompt page where you can have your password e-mailed to you.

Does Discovery Education sell videos of all programs seen on Discovery Channel, TLC, Travel Channel and Animal Planet?
We do not offer all of the videos that air on our networks. Network programs we do offer can be found here On TV.

Where can I find technical assistance for CD-ROMs?
If you need technical assistance for CD-ROMs purchased from Discovery Education, please go to Tech Support. If you need technical assistance for CD-ROMs purchased from DiscoveryStore.com or Discovery Channel Catalog, please go to http://multimedia.discovery.com/.

Does Discovery Education offer all the products found in Discovery Channel Stores and Discovery Channel Catalog?

How can I request a catalog or email offers?

In the top navigation, select Email Offers.  Simply enter your name and email address and you will automatically receive new offers.

What is a MARC record?

MARC records are used to transfer data about Discovery media into library automation systems. The structure of this unique communications format is defined by an international standard currently known as MARC21.  Each record contains information on grade level suitability, chapter titles, and other related information, pre-coded for library automation system use only.

How do I place an order?
When you have chosen your particular product, simply click the "Add to Cart" button. Clicking this button will place the item in your shopping cart and take you to your cart. At that point, you can continue shopping or proceed with checkout. When you have finished adding items to your cart, click the "Continue Checkout" button and follow the directions for completing your transaction.

What if I prefer not to place my order online?
If for any reason you prefer not to complete your order online, Discovery Education will gladly accept your order by phone, fax, or mail. How much shipping and handling will I pay?
Discovery Education bases its shipping charges on your merchandise total. To review rates for orders within the United States, visit our Shipping page.

How long does it take for my order to be delivered?
Standard shipping takes only 3-4 business days. Express delivery takes 2 business days if your order is placed by 11am EST. Overnight delivery takes just one business day if your order is placed by 11am EST.

What states do I need to pay sales tax online?
Discovery Education is required by law to charge tax on orders to the following states:
Arkansas, California, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
The tax amount is calculated on the total purchase, including shipping and handling charges, and will be based on state and local sales tax rates for the shipping address.

My organization is tax-exempt. How do I place an order that does not collect taxes?
To place a tax-exempt order, please call us toll-free at 1-888-892-3484. You will then need to fax your tax exempt form in to 1-877-324-6830.

How do I cancel an order?

For items in stock, our goal is to process and ship your order as soon as possible. But if you contact us right away, we may be able to stop shipment on your order.

How do I exchange or return an item?
Every item we sell is backed by our 100% unconditional guarantee. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your online purchase, Discovery Education will gladly accept your exchange or return.

What if my product arrives damaged?
In the unlikely event that a product arrives damaged, please use our convenient online e-mail form at www.customersupport.discovery.com or call us toll-free at 1-888-892-3484. We will send a UPS carrier to your home to pick up the product at no extra cost to you.
