This program documents the expeditions of Francisco Pizarro and his fateful encounters with the Inca Empire. The empire of the Incas is detailed, from its geographical breadth, to its system of government, agriculture, family life, and religion. The video covers Pizarro’s early army career, expeditions to Columbia and Panama, and the capture of the Inca emperor, Atahualpa. Following Atahualpa’s death, the Spanish conquered much of the rest of South America.
