Understanding Good Citizenship DVD
Introduce students in grades K-5 to their responsibilities as citizens in a democracy. Then take a look at the factors to considered when selecting leaders. Includes four segments:
- Who is a Citizen? and #151; Explore what it means to be a legal member of a country and the ways a person can become one.
- Rights and Responsibilities and #151; Consider the privileges and duties of all U.S. citizens, by birth or by naturalization.
- Volunteering and #151; Take a look at civic and #151; mindedness, or concern for your community, and the role it plays in being a good citizen.
- Government Organization and Leadership and #151; Investigate the three branches of government and explore the qualities that make a good leader.
