American Titans: Rockefeller vs. Scott DVD
Cinematic recreations and expert commentary reveal the story behind business magnates John D. Rockefeller and Thomas A. Scott. As head of Standard Oil, Rockefeller created a monopoly by purchasing many of the oil refineries in the United States and striking deals with railroad companies. Scott, president of the Pennsylvania Railroad, clashed with Rockefeller over transportation costs, eventually leading to the Great Railroad Strike of 1877. Rockefeller went on to become a pioneer in the oil industry and the richest man in U.S. history.
